Flexible workspace provider infinitSpace has entered into a management agreement with Helical to launch a new state-of-the-art flexible workspace location in The Bower complex in Old Street, London.
InfinitSpace creates white-label, tech-enabled flexible workspaces. The company has been entrusted with managing the new workspace by Helical, following the departure of WeWork.
The Bower is a mixed-use commercial development created by award winning architects AHMM, housing premium office, retail and restaurant space. Spanning a total of 20,000 square feet, beyond The Bower workspace is spread across two floors of the development’s ‘The Tower’ building. It is located at 207 Old Street on the ‘Silicon Roundabout’, an area home to many of the city’s most innovative tech businesses, in the vibrant and culturally rich neighbourhood of Shoreditch. It also boasts excellent transport links, as the complex is situated less than a minute’s walk from Old Street station.
Co-founded by Wybo Wijnbergen (CEO), and his brother, serial tech entrepreneur Wilco Wijnbergen (CTO), infinitSpace has launched the flexible workspace in London under the ‘beyond’ brand as ‘beyond The Bower’.
With a capacity of 400 desks, beyond The Bower offers coworking and private office memberships, all with flexible terms and suitable for a range of needs, from individuals up to large teams. Members can benefit from numerous services and facilities including bookable private meeting rooms, event spaces, ultra-fast WiFi, IT support, premium quality coffee, phone booths, a comprehensive events programme, and an on-site community team.
infinitSpace has also equipped the space with cutting-edge technology, including beyond’s workspace app, which connects beyond The Bower members with others across beyond’s global network. Under the management agreement, infinitSpace is responsible for marketing the space, managing new memberships and overseeing the ongoing operation of the site.
Since its first opened in March 2022, the workspace provider has now launched a total of seven flexible workspaces globally. beyond The Bower is infinitSpace’s third ‘beyond’ location in London – following beyond Aldgate Tower and beyond Kingsbourne House – and its fifth across Europe.
Wybo Wijnbergen, CEO and Co-founder of infinitSpace, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Helical to launch beyond The Bower. The flexible workspace industry is undoubtedly seeing a shift, with landlords no longer willing to simply hand over the keys to operators – increasingly, they want to maintain control of their assets while still reaping all the benefits flex space has to offer. Working with a white-label provider like infinitSpace ensures Helical can do just that.
“As seen across our other locations, beyond’s workspaces exceed expectations when it comes to fostering human connection and collaboration, enabling our thousands of members to achieve incredible things. beyond now manages over 100,000 square feet of flexible workspace in London alone, and we are confident that beyond The Bower will be another great success.”
Gerald Kaye, Chief Executive at Helical plc, added: “Our ethos at Helical is creating sustainable and inspiring workplaces which are technologically smart, rich in amenities and that promote employee wellbeing. We sought out an equally progressive and ambitious partner that shared our values to create a truly extraordinary workspace experience at The Bower and ultimately found this with infinitSpace.”
The partnership comes as demand for flexible workspace continues to rise among businesses globally. The value of the global flexible workspace market is expected to more than double from $33.23 billion in 2020 to $73.03 billion by 2026. infinitSpace will enable the landlord to capitalise on this trend.
