After an incredible 30-year journey with Helical plc, Gerald Kaye has stepped down as CEO and Board member. Gerald's career in the real estate sector has been nothing short of remarkable, evolving from his early days influenced by his familial ties to becoming one of the leading authorities on commercial property and office developments.

Throughout his tenure, Gerald has been instrumental in shaping Helical’s success, overseeing iconic projects like The JJ Mack Building and Barts Square. His vision and leadership have been pivotal, particularly during transformative periods in the real estate market.

While Gerald will be transitioning from his CEO role, we are thrilled that he will remain connected with Helical through a consultancy arrangement, focusing on projects due for completion in March 2026. His invaluable insights and expertise will continue to guide us as we navigate the evolving real estate landscape.

Following Helical's AGM on 17th July Matthew Bonning-Snook has been appointed CEO. Matthew has built a long and successful career at Helical, having joined the business in 1995 and the Board in 2007 and is perfectly placed to lead the business through the next phase of its development programme.

We are proud to celebrate Gerald’s legacy and wish him the best in his future endeavours. His contributions have left an indelible mark on Helical and the industry at large.

Gerald recently appeared on an episode of Propcast, reflecting on his 30 years at Helical, available here.
