Just two of the seventeen floors remain available to let.

Helical plc is pleased to announce that Brilliant Basics, an Infosys Company and existing occupier, has taken the 12th floor, on a new ‘Plug & Play’ lease, at The Tower, the second phase of its landmark Old Street scheme at The Bower.

Currently occupying the 10th and 11th floors, Brilliant Basics has agreed a five-year lease on the 9,572 sq ft 12th floor, taking its total footprint to 29,148 sq ft as it continues to implement its UK scale up strategy. Helical has carried out a full CAT B fit out enabling Brilliant Basics to take immediate occupation, without the time and inconvenience of doing the work itself. The rent is in line with what has recently been agreed on the 14th floor for a similar CAT A+ letting.

Helical has now let more than 88% of The Bower’s second phase office building, to a diverse range of international businesses. There are only two single floors available – 10,046 sq ft on the 13th floor and 11,331 sq ft on the 15th floor. All occupiers of The Tower benefit from the shared facilities and amenities at The Bower, which include a communal lounge, bike store, meeting room and shower rooms.

Brilliant Basics is a global leader in Digital Design and Innovation. Infosys acquired the company almost two years ago to expand Infosys’ digital and innovation footprint across EMEA. Brilliant Basics is one of several fast growing, design & creative companies that have chosen to move into The Bower, demonstrating its broad appeal.

Having recently exchanged an agreement for lease with Snowflake for the 14th floor on a full turn-key basis, being able to support Brilliant Basics’ expansion requirements in delivering a fully fitted floor for its immediate occupation is a further endorsement of our offering. This is the latest demonstration that our flexible approach to lease structuring meets the needs of today’s diverse generation of occupiers.

Anand Verma, Founder and CEO of Brilliant Basics, an Infosys Company, added: “Since moving into The Tower almost a year ago, the brilliant design and quality of the office space continues to impress us and suit our clients’ and employees’ needs. There is a real community amongst the other businesses in The Tower making it a great environment to work in. It therefore made perfect sense for us to take over an additional floor to support our growth plans here in the heart of London’s Silicon Valley.”

Located directly next to Old Street roundabout and designed by renowned architects AHMM, The Tower provides 171,434 sq ft of Grade-A office space, on seventeen levels, with two additional ground floor retail units, which have been let to upscale urban food and bar offer Serata Hall and the popular Asian restaurant, Wagamama. It sits adjacent to The Warehouse which is fully let to a range of occupiers including CBS, Stripe, Allegis, Pivotal and John Brown Media, as well as a full complement of high-quality food and beverage operations including The Shoreditch Grind, Enoteca de Luca, The Draft House, Bone Daddies and Mokka Brothers. The 3.12 acre site, comprising circa 350,000 sq ft of office and retail space, is currently 94% let.

In close proximity to the City of London, and on the edge of thriving Shoreditch, The Bower’s modern aesthetic is fused with industrial features, aimed at creating a working space that caters for a variety of sectors, in keeping with the dynamic of the local area.
