Helical Plc, Places for London and Mace Construct mark a key development milestone at Paddington OSD with the signing of the main works building contract.
Paddington Over Station Development (OSD) will be a visually striking, best in class scheme that sits over the northern entrance to Paddington Station, adjacent to the Grand Union canal. The building, designed by Grimshaw Architects, has achieved the highest levels of sustainability with a BREEAM Design Stage score of 97.4% which is complemented by market leading technological infrastructure, excellent end of journey facilities and large south facing terraces on every office floor, ensuring the building is a standout choice for occupiers.
Enabling works and concrete cores are being progressed by Keltbray with steelwork due to start in October and completion scheduled for Q3 2028.
Matthew Bonning-Snook, Helical CEO: "We are delighted to partner with Mace Construct to deliver this exciting office project in Paddington in a constrained supply window. It is another significant milestone for our Joint Venture with Places for London."
Ged Simmonds, Mace Construct MD: "Paddington Over Station Development is an outstanding example of the kind of complex, sustainability led urban project where strong partnerships and delivery experience really matter. We are proud to be working alongside Helical and Places for London on this landmark building above one of the UK’s busiest transport hubs, combining exceptional design quality with best-in-class environmental performance."
