Helical plc has appointed Elliott Saunders as Senior Development Executive and Matt Redgrove as Development Executive. With over 24 years’ combined experience, they will be integral in supporting the delivery of Helical’s substantial development pipeline of best-in-class London offices, which includes 100 New Bridge Street and the joint venture sites with Transport for London, as well as leading refurbishment projects across the current portfolio.

Elliott Saunders brings over 13 years’ experience delivering commercial and mixed-use schemes across London. He was previously a Director at Third London Wall, most recently leading major office projects for Aviva Investors, Tishman Speyer and Stanhope. Prior to this he spent four years as a Director at Avison Young where he worked on the development of Kaleidoscope, Helical’s over station development in Farringdon.

Matt Redgrove previously spent seven years at Turner & Townsend, leading a variety of commercial development projects including most recently New Zealand House in St James’s, for clients such as the Crown Estate, Ballymore and Sellar. Prior to this he spent four years at AECOM, managing environmental assessments for commercial developments including 22 Bishopsgate and The Broadway.

Gerald Kaye, Chief Executive of Helical plc, commented: “Demand for the best-in-class office space continues to outstrip supply and we are ideally placed to capitalise on this imbalance as we work through our substantial development pipeline alongside our JV partners. Elliott and Matt have been heavily involved in the delivery of a range of office schemes across London and will be invaluable additions to our established team, delivering market leading office space.”

In February 2023, Helical was selected by Transport for London as its joint venture partner for the delivery of new high-quality and sustainable office space above or close to London Underground stations, which currently consist of three development projects at Bank, Paddington and Southwark, totalling c. 600,000 sq ft. All three sites have planning and construction is expected to begin at the Bank site later this year.

In June, Helical received planning consent for the sustainable redevelopment of the existing 167,000 sq ft office building at 100 New Bridge Street, London EC4. The consent is currently being amended to maximise construction efficiencies before work begins.
