Helical completed C-Space, a 62,000 sq ft commercial workspace on the corner of City Road and Epworth Street in Shoreditch in October 2015.
The retrofit of the 1960s former carpet factory substantially remodelled the building into a stylish commercial development with flexible designed spaces that celebrates its industrial heritage.
The redevelopment involved the complete reconfiguration and refurbishment of the interiors, remodelling the existing façade, the creation of a new reception podium in the rear courtyard, cutting back the ground floor and adopting full height glazing to allow light into the lower ground floor. One additional storey was also added, increasing the floor area by 10,000 sq ft.
Major public realm improvements were made to the streetscape fronting City Road and a day time publicly accessible route has been provided linking City Road and Tabernacle Street.
The building was 75% pre-let to the creative agency MullenLowe with all 15,387sq ft of remaining space let to NeuLion Limited, a leading technology product and service provider, in October 2016.
C Space was sold to Meadow London Core-Plus Fund LP in December 2017.
